Atwood Music Festival : ウィキペディア英語版 | Atwood Music Festival
The Atwood Music Festival, the longest running festival of its kind in the state of Mississippi, is an annual festival held near the banks of the Pearl River in Monticello, MS on Memorial Day weekend in May. Originally the Atwood Bluegrass Music Festival, because of a variety of different music styles performed was renamed the Atwood Music Festival. The Festival began as a joint effort by the Pearl River Basin Development District and the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce in 1975 to promote the Atwood Water Park that had recently been completed by the Basin District. The Festival has been known to draw people from all over the nation. It has featured artists such as Stella Parton (sister of Dolly Parton), The Carter Family, Trace Adkins, John Anderson, Neal McCoy, Jeff Bates, Andy Griggs, Little Texas, Billie Dean, Emerson Drive, Kieth Anderson, and even Charlie Daniels. This year's festival will feature Jeff Bates, his second time to perform there, the LoCash Cowboys, Decemberadio, and more.
